Nobody likes stress, but when life begins to pick up its speed, it can be inevitable. Thankfully, there are numerous coping mechanisms to help manage stress and prevent what is commonly referred to as “burnout.” Burnout is a state of mental, physical, or emotional exhaustion triggered by high stress levels over an extended period of time. This can be debilitating and result in mental roadblocks such as depression or anxiety. In most cases, however, it can be prevented with proper care and awareness.
October 21st, 1889
It is the night of the acquisition of my father’s estate, Harfeld Manor, which resides in an isolated northern district of Scotland. The home is in utter disrepair, having been relentlessly torn apart by the elements for years on end after my father’s death. I lied in wait, focused on my own collegiate pursuits, neglecting the welfare of the estate much to the dismay of the structure. Now after trying to undo this mistreatment of the estate, day and night the workers hammer away, pounding my eardrums as if they were hammering my skull. I cannot find peace.

At midnight on October 25th, Tessa Violet Williams, better known as Tessa Violet, dropped her new album, ‘Bad Ideas.’ The album consists of eleven tracks and clocks in at about thirty-two minutes. Four of the tracks were originally released as singles with ‘Crush’, ‘Bad Ideas’, ‘I Like (the idea of) You’, and ‘Games’, which all sit right next to each other on the album as the second through fifth songs. Two more songs, ‘Words Ain’t Enough’ and ‘Interlude III,’ were both originally released on her YouTube channel and nowhere else until the album.
