Nothing to complain about when living

2/9/2020

2020.
Coronavirus,
Kobe,
Iran and US,
plane crash,
forest fire.
These chemical symbols,
This Chem quiz,

All it needs is pages of reading and reciting.
Why can’t these papers take me home
to my parents, my sister?
Can’t bear it.
I don’t want to watch us bite each other
through the phone
half an earth away,
Stretching arms with no response.
We hold hands tightly
We are so small and we are
challenging the command of God.
Would anything be worse than wandering on
the edge of life and death?
Would anything be better than believing
everything will end well?
Here we go,
into the mist again.
As the sun continues to shine.
